Looking Through the Hourglass

We are constantly looking through
The hourglass
At our life descending
As the years pass.

Though you may fear
What the future knows;
You can’t step back
Through life’s closed doors.

Whether your past was good or bad;
Your future’s yet a wonder
Whether great or sad.

Sometimes, we drift to our
Childhood days;
Sometimes, as far as the
Games we played.

It seems so near,
We start to grin;
As if we were there
-a child again.

As times creep on
Through the hourglass;
We see life descending
As the years pass.

Sometimes, we fear the closing in;
But through our children,
We’ll definitely live again.
